Former British Minister for international development Shahid Malik paid visit to PakTurk International Schools & Colleges Head Office in Islamabad.

Later he was given a briefing by Director Education Mr. Kamil Türe and Director Planning & Development Mr. Turgut Puyan. Honourable guest was briefed about the ongoing and future projects of PakTurk International Educational Foundation for Pakistani nation.

He appreciated the efforts of the schools to incorporate the learning of moral and ethical values to studies for the positive nourishment of character in the pursuit of a degree-oriented education. Mr. Shahid Malik, who is the first-ever Muslim to be elected as a minister in the entire Western world, also showed great interest in guidance and counseling books prepared by PakTurk publications. He emphasized the need of spreading the good work to other parts of the society too.
Mr. Shahid Malik, who has also served as Governor of Asian Development Bank said that educational institutions should not ignore value-based education which is a need of today. In Book of honour he wrote:
Congratulation to all those involved with PakTurk schools they are a truly amazing asset for Pakistan & beyond and with Inshallah indeed help to herald a ‘golden age’ where Muslims across the globe are respected rather than stereotyped as terrorists.
